My Department conducted a poster design contest today.The topic was ‘India Developed’.Well, this is my contest entry.I made a last minute attempt at it.This is my Idea of a India towards development.
Firstly, showing the world by example,the path of non-violence.
Two,empowering rural women.
Three, education for all..
n subsidising and supporting agriculture..
Well, despite my ‘okay’ try at translating it into a poster,I strongly believe in its suggestions.
But, as I got to know, many people think these goals are as old as India’s independance and are very much irrelevant now.The vision INDIA 2020 is mostly associated with more nuclear missiles,new satellites,strong military base,growing richer and richer and emerging as The IT centre of the world.
I was accused of not projecting the Technological growth being a budding engineer myself.Are we living with Utopia?? I wonder what a developed India we are going to realize!
